The RediVolt is installed at the electrical power source for the equipment to be protected. At a minimum, it is recommended to install suppression units on all equipment or appliances which have a motor load or electrical components of any kind.
Typical installation of the RediVoltis done at the main electrical panel(s) and sub-panel(s). The most common installation is to connect the leads to the neutral feeder lug and a breaker of any size (figure 1 or 2). An alternative method is to feeder power input lugs of the panel (figure 3). When installed to the lugs it is recommended to use an in-line fuse for additional protection. Optimally, the unit is mounted directly on the electrical panel to achieve its maximum response time of 85 picoseconds (less than a trillionth of a second). The RediVolt can also be installed in Motor Control Centers as shown.
